1. About

My name is Joshua Robert Long. I am an American-born poet currently spending my life within a tiny little bohemian nightmare known as Yellow Springs in Ohio, with my girlfriend Madeline (she blogs, you can read it HERE).

I was educated at The Ohio State University in both English and Creative Writing. My work has appeared in numerous places over the years, including: Spork Press, Burning Word, AURCO Journal, Walleyed Press’ Fresh Fish Journal, Over The CounterCulture Magazine, and The Hog Creek Review, which has awarded me twice for excellence in poetry.

I am the author of three poetry books: LEAVING FROST UPON THE WALLS, TRANSLATING THE AVENUES, & MIXTAPE (with Justin David Koontz). I’m also known to randomly throw together a free digital chapbook on occasion, my most recent one being called RUMOR MIRROR.

In addition to the books and chapbooks, THE POLKADODGE ORGANIZATION (polkadodge.org) is also a brainchild of mine, which is a community of artists/writers/photographers/creators all sharing a space under the same ceiling.

    It’s been something.
