I wanted to do an exercise in efficiency, so I spent the last twenty minutes or so putting together a very spontaneous chapbook. I am going to be posting the poems individually over the next while, but you can download them all in a digital chapbook if you wish. Click here to begin the download.
Each poem is titled the time that I began writing it.
If you don’t want to download it now, you can pick it up in the future by visiting the BOOKS section of my site and scrolling on down the page to the “Digital” section.
Just pointing out that this is day 2 of the Translating The Avenues contest. Here’s the announcement that ran yesterday in case you missed it:
“So with the Leaving Frost Upon the Walls contest behind us now, I became inspired to further spread the contest spirit. For those who are interested, there is now a contest open for Translating The Avenues, my debut collection of poetry. The copy up for grabs is one of the original printings, with the green front and back cover. This edition of the book is no longer available to the public. Like the current edition, this copy spans 158 pages and is divided up into 5 sections. It’s a compilation of poems from a nearly two year span.
Just like the previous contest, the entry aspect is very simple. All you have to do is go to the Facebook page for the book and give it a “like” (click here)
And just like before, you can also double your entry by giving my original Facebook page a “like” as well (click here)
There were complications for a very limited number of people who didn’t use Facebook and wanted to enter the contest. This time around I’ve set up the submissions section of the site so you can properly send me your name and street address for entry (click here to visit the submissions area).
The contest will run from this moment until Tuesday January 24th, at 8:00PM EST. At that point, I will randomly draw a name from the list and the contest will close. Also, just as in the previous contest, if you are already a fan of either page, you’re already entered into the contest.”
GET ON IT.
