Mixtape, Volume II: From Yellow Springs to Flagstaff News

Tonight was the night that began the weekly previews from Mixtape, Volume II: From Yellow Springs to Flagstaff. This weeks sampling is a poem of mine from the book, called “Some kind of February son, some kind of heart”.

It’s available for read now over at MIXTAPEBOOKS.COM, and, in a few minutes, you’ll be able to read it here as well.

If you were a fan of the original Mixtape book Justin David Koontz and I made, you’ll be happy to know that Volume II is coming out in the coming months. We’re in the middle of the hype process to make this release more of a celebration. Every Wednesday night at MIXTAPEBOOKS.COM there’ll be a new preview to read. Next weeks will be by Justin, as they will alternate week to week.

For those Tumblr users out there, MIXTAPEBOOKS.COM is a Tumblr-site, so you’re able to follow the site if you’re interested. There are periodic updates from myself and Justin both in relation to the book and just random blurbs or what-have-you.

"You see this on the television when they remake old films or television shows. It’s very apparent in reality television, and in regards to the internet, people are getting some sort of credibility for destroying pages out of books, for writing a bad haiku while looking pretty in some plastic frames and a collared shirt."
